The young-driver fee

A per-day surcharge applies to renters aged 21–24. It is set by the rental company, varies by location, and sits on top of the base rate — so two branches can quote very different young-driver costs for the same trip.

Class limits

Under-25 renters are often blocked from premium cars, larger SUVs and vans at certain branches. If you need a specific class, it’s worth checking availability for your age before you plan around it.

Under 21

A small number of locations rent to 18–20-year-olds, sometimes under corporate or government exceptions. It’s the exception, not the rule — call and we’ll check whether your pick-up is one of them.
