Where you pick up: the Harry Reid Rent-A-Car Center — a large consolidated facility about three miles from the terminals.

Worth knowing first:The cars aren’t at the airport. A free shuttle runs to a big off-site centre, so build in time.

Getting from the terminal to the cars

A free rental shuttle runs from Terminal 1 (outside baggage claim) and Terminal 3 (ground level). Allow 10–20 minutes for the ride plus the wait, then more inside — the centre is large, so give yourself time to find your company’s counter and the right garage level.

What Las Vegas counters tend to ask for

Nevada branches see a lot of tourists and often accept a debit card on economy cars, but larger classes, one-way rentals and peak events can trigger a credit-card requirement and a bigger hold. We confirm the rule for your specific branch before you book.

Driving out, and the fees that aren’t ours

The Strip is minutes away but slow; I-15 clogs at commuter times and around big events. Resort self-parking and valet often carry their own charges that have nothing to do with the rental — budget for those separately so they aren’t a surprise.

When to pick up

The centre runs 24 hours, but red-eye and late-evening arrivals hit the longest queues. Mid-morning is the calmest window.

LAS questions

Straight answers

Where do I pick up a rental car at LAS?
At the off-site McCarran Rent-A-Car Center, reached by a free shuttle from Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 — not at a counter in the terminal.
Can I use a debit card in Las Vegas?
Often on economy cars, yes; larger classes and one-way rentals may need a credit card and a bigger hold. It is set branch by branch — we’ll confirm yours.
How long should I allow?
20–35 minutes from baggage claim to the wheel, more late at night when the centre is busiest.
Are there tolls around Las Vegas?
Very few. The bigger budget line is resort parking and valet — separate from the rental — which we’ll flag.

One call. No counter surprises.

Tell us your LAS dates and the car you want. We’ll confirm how to reach the cars, the counter rule and the all-in total on the phone.
